Make a Gift or Start a Fund

It’s about taking what you can give and making it meaningful for both you and those who will ultimately benefit. It’s not about the size of the gift; every gift matters.

Give to support a cause, address an issue or help a charitable organization. You can start your own fund, give to an existing fund, or give directly to Middle Tennessee nonprofits.

Types of Gifts

Making a gift to The Community Foundation can be as simple as writing a check or as sophisticated as creating an estate plan. We offer a variety of options to help individuals accomplish specific philanthropic and personal objectives.

A summary of your options include:

Outright gifts - We accept gifts of cash, securities, real estate, life insurance or tangible personal property.

Deferred gifts - These gifts can include charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, life insurance or an IRA.

Special Situations - We also work with individuals, families or corporations with special situations like transferring assets of a private foundation, or liquidating a company.

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee works with you and your attorney, trust officer, accountant, or other financial advisor to connect your generosity with causes about which you’re passionate, and to tailor a giving vehicle that best suites your needs.
