The Tomorrow Fund of The Communtiy Foundation welcomed some of Nashville's finest food trucks to the inagural BATTLE OF THE FOOD TRUCKS which was held at Greer Stadium October 2. More than 500 people came from near and far (all the way from New York City) to come sample food from a fleet of Nashville's finest food trucks....And all for a good cause, supporting The Tomorrow Fund's mission to The Fund seeks to build community awareness and responsibility in your professionals by establishing a pattern of community service and charitable giving.
Battle of the Food Truck's guest emcee was none other than Top Chef: Washington DC contestant and local restaurateur, Arnold Myint. Participating food trucks included Deg Thai, Hoss' Loaded Burgers, Love Shack, Moovers & Shakers, Riff's, Taste of Belgium, The Cupcake Collection, Izzies Ice, Fleur de Lis, Mere Bulles, The Latin Wagon, Smoke et al, Mean Green Ice Cream Machine, among others. Riff's and the Cupcake Collection took the top honors, as voted on by the partcipants at the event.
Thanks to the generous fleet of Nashville's finest food trucks, this first year event was a big hit! Stay tuned for next year's Battle of The Food Trucks!
