Did you know, according to NoKidHungry.org, 25% of children in Tennessee struggle with hunger? There are 479,000 children in Tennessee who receive free or reduced price lunch, unfortunately, only 58% of those children are eating breakfast. Another alarming statisctic reflects just 12% of children eating free or reduced-priced school lunch are getting summer meals.

The Women's Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee is holding its annual forum on November 18, 2015, at the Scaritt Bennett Center (1008 19th Avenue S, Nashville) at 8:00 a.m. This year's forum will focus on hunger in Tennessee, touching on topics including food security, food waste, the facts on poverty in our community and its effect on hunger, and much more. Confirmed panelists include Tallu Quinn with the Nashville Food Project, Julius Witherspoon with Metro Schools, Jaynee Day with Second Harvest Food Bank and Adrienne Newman with FiftyForward.

This educational forum is free and open to the public! RSVP today.
