The Power of the Purse® Luncheon and silent auction benefits The Women’s Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennesse, which supports Middle Tennessee women and girls in need.
The 2015 Power of the Purse® Luncheon will feature keynote speaker Debbi Fields, an entrepreneur who transformed a recipe from her kitchen into one of the nation’s most visible, successful, dessert empires. She is the founder, baker, chief-cookie-lover and former chairman of Mrs. Field’s Cookies, a $450 million company she started in 1977. Fields uses her personal values to guide to her as a businesswoman. Her philosophy of excellence, apparent in her motto “Good Enough Never Is,” is mirrored in a company that earned a reputation for providing the best in product quality and superior customer service. We are thrilled that Debbi will share with us what it takes to make a dream come true when armed with only an idea.
