COLLAGE: Piecing Together A Compassionate Nashville

Benefiting the Metro Human Relations Commission Support Fund

Tuesday, May 20, 2014
5:30 pm –
Nashville

3505 Belmont Boulevard

COLLAGE will be a unique live-art-and-party event on May 20, 2014, at the home of Iris Buhl. During the party, our guests will help artist Brian Parker create an original collage of the city of Nashville right before our very eyes! Our collage will be auctioned live with the proceeds going to the Metro Human Relations Commission Support Fund, a fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Check out a short video of the fun at the 2013 COLLAGE.

This will be the second year for our new event, which was created to support the exceptional work of the Metro Human Relations Commission through the Support Fund of the Community Foundation.  The mission of the Commission is to protect and promote the personal dignity, peace, safety, security, health, and general welfare of all people in Nashville.  This Commission partners with schools; law enforcement; community-based organizations; and business, academic, civic, religious, and other leaders to work against divisive attitudes and behaviors that compromise well-being in Nashville.

In these times of tight governmental funding, private support for the Commission in its delivery of the best and most innovative programs to promote tolerance and understanding among all groups living in Nashville is critical.  We believe in the work of the Commission and in the vision of the MHRC Support Fund to expand its capabilities.  Together, we’ll make Nashville “One City for All People.”
